The Scores page lists every game of the day in each sport we cover, with the betting line and how our prediction compares with it.
How It Works
The line: DraftKings' spread and over/under, as ESPN carries them.
Our lean: we compare our predicted margin with the spread. Three points or more apart is a lean; half a point to three, we only side with a number; closer than that, we agree with the line. The total is read the same way.
Once a game is final, a check or a cross says how the call did. The percentage beside each team is our chance of it winning.
Upset Watch: before kickoff, games where we give the underdog (the team the book has losing) better than even odds; while on, the underdog leading in the second half or favored by ESPN's live win chance; after, the underdogs that won.
Close: within one score in the second half, or a toss-up before it starts.
Keep in Mind
Leans aren't tips: over ten seasons, leans like these have come in about as often as a coin flip.
When It Updates
The day's games are set four times a day, around 5:30 and 11:30 AM and PM Eastern; live scores refresh every minute (every three for basketball).
