GordStats is a sports statistics site run by one person, Tyler Gordon. This page says what the site knows about you, why, and how to remove it.
The short version: you can read everything without an account, the site has no ads and no ad trackers, and if you sign in we keep your email address and the things you save until you delete them.

If You Only Read the Site
- No account is needed, and the site sets no cookie until you sign in. Cloudflare, which serves the site, may set a short-lived security cookie to tell people from bots.
- A visitor count. The footer shows how many people visited today. To count a visitor once, the site makes a one-way hash of your IP address and the date. The hash is deleted when the day ends, and the IP address itself is not stored.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics. It gives us page-view totals, the kind of device, the country and the referring site. It uses no cookies and does not follow you across sites.
- Your browser's own storage. Choices such as the teams you follow, a fantasy league you typed in, picks made before signing in, and which view you last used are kept in your browser so the site remembers them. They stay on your device unless you sign in, and you can clear them in your browser's settings.
- Security reports. If your browser blocks something on a page, it may send us a report with the page's address and what was blocked. We store no name, account or IP address with it.
If You Sign In
Sign-in is through Google. We ask Google only for your email address; we never see your Google password, contacts or anything else in your Google account.
We store:
- your email address, and Google's identifier for your account, to recognize you when you sign in again;
- when the account was created and last used;
- the teams you follow;
- fantasy leagues you sync: the league's id, name and season, your team's name and your id in that league;
- Pick'em: the display name you choose, your picks, and the groups you start or join;
- posts you suggest for Tweets of the Week, and your votes;
- if we email you: whether you have unsubscribed and when, and a one-way hash of the unsubscribe link in each email, so that the link works.
A session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 90 days. Page scripts cannot read it and it is sent only to this site. A second, short-lived cookie is used during the sign-in step itself.
What other readers can see: your Pick'em display name and scores on the leaderboards, and on the board of any group you are in. Your email address is never shown to other readers.
Email. We may occasionally email account holders about the site, such as a new feature. Every such email says how to stop them, and we do.
Other Companies Your Browser Talks To
Some pages load data straight from other services into your browser, so those services see your IP address and the request, as they would if you visited them:
- ESPN: live scores, play-by-play and team logos.
- Sleeper and ESPN Fantasy: your fantasy league, when you view one.
- Yahoo: images on the college fantasy pages.
- X: only if you tap to load an embedded post.
- Google: only when you sign in.
- Cloudflare: hosts the site, its database and its analytics.
- Resend: sends our email.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Keeping and Deleting
- Delete your account at any time from your profile. It removes your email address, followed teams, leagues, Pick'em name, picks, groups you started and your votes, immediately. Posts you suggested that were published stay, without your name attached.
- For two days after a deletion we keep an anonymous marker (a keyed hash, not your email address) so that deleting and re-creating an account cannot be used to get around daily limits.
- Backups. A copy of the database is kept for 30 days for disaster recovery. A deleted account drops out of the backups within 30 days.
- You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to hello@gordstats.com.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
